Earn Free Rounds As a Golf Ranger

When you assist the Smoky Mountain Country Club as a golf ranger, you're compensated with free rounds of golf. The details are in our Ranger Operating Agreement (pdf).

GOLF RANGER DUTIES

The following is a partial list of the ranger duties at Smoky Mountain Country Club:

1. Perform duties of a starter when needed

2. Monitor pace of play and provide assistance on holes that present bottleneck issues.

3. Enforce cart path rules

4. Help maintain appearance of course by repairing divot marks, picking up debris such as cans and broken tees and ensuring ball washers are filled.

5. Collect items left behind at the course and return to pro shop

6. Assist with the golf staff and tournament organizers with tournaments

7. Ensure that golfers have an enjoyable golf experience while still abiding by the rules of the golf course.

8. Provide back up assistance to the cart attendant with such duties as driving range maintenance, as well as cart and cart barn maintenance.
